i'm more interested in the charging curve than the raw maximum charge speed at like 5%
Agreed. The SE SR (LFP) only charges at a max. of 90kW (even though the original spec sheet said 117kW). However the 10-80% charge time was accurate per the specification (under the right conditions).

Not sure why you publish a WLTP range of figures

You’re correcting me with the specs of the wrong car. Those figures are for the older MG4 EV 51 kWh Urban (MSP, RWD). They don’t apply to the 2025 MG4 Urban on the E3 platform. Yes, the new E3 Urban does have satnav, however, it doesnt have live traffic data

???

While the SatNav on the most basic mg4 urban comfort doesn't have live traffic updates, the mapping is slightly more capable than just a phone

By it's very nature, SatNav works via radio signals from the sky. However, driving through the Mersey Tunnels I was expecting the animation to freeze until reaching the tunnel exit. What actually happens is that half of the screen shows an animated tunnel, the other half shows the route very smoothly progressing

Additionally to the SatNav antenna, the system must have inertia and wheel rev counter inputs. Mersey Tunnels have quite a twisty route, often with traffic that becomes stationary and the map animation responds correctly

For the purposes of driving through a long tunnel, it is probably accurate enough, then when reaquiring SatNav signal it probably defers to that as better accuracy

Also, the mapping does display some of the larger, older, buildings in the area as 3D - but only about 10% of the buildings overall. Maybe such an approach is partly to reduce compute power needed but even so it does highlight the area significant way points

Animation is very smooth, no stalls or glitching

MG app is useless with this car, no telemetry, no option of planning routes on a phone and then sending it to the car. Even so, I've never had such a feature - so I don't feel that I'm missing it!

Ditto .. and you should know, @fnegroni - you have the actual car for which you provided the corrections! 😆

(If I'm remembering right)
not sure if you are joking or if you are serious? 🤷🏻‍♂️

i quoted a table of values comparing the mg urban and provided a list of corrections at the bottom.
The author of the table got a few things mixed up and also claims there was an Urban SE 51 kWh which is obviously not the case.

Erm - that was the point I was making? And because you now have the Urban, you would know the corrections. 🤷‍♂️

Hi everyone!

My intentions in including those tables was meant as a quick reference comparison of the specs and features across the 2 different mg4 platforms

My tables were intended to be a conversational starting point and I welcome suggestions that some of my data might be incorrect

With the help of the community, perhaps this table could be adopted, fully researched and clarified specifically for the UK market? Should it be the case, when a truly definitive table is arrived at, I'll gladly delete my original tables

When I was in the process of researching and deciding to buy my mg4 urban comfort e3 platform, I could only wish to find such a dense data table comparing each model and trim Vs features

My guess is that other new owners/buyers might also find it useful as a way of navigating through MGs own confusing marketing of these slightly different cars that use the same MG4 family name!

[Not sure this is the correct part of the forum to post this, I'm happy for a mod to relocate this post if needed!]

Q: Hows the first 300 miles of driving my new MG4 Urban E3 Platform Standard gone?

A: Surprisingly well!

Full reply has moved to the following link on correct advice of @siteguru (thankyou):

Many thanks for the advice, I could find how to delete my original post above so I've changed to to include the link to where it's been reposted

Yes, my excel table doesnt copy-n-paste well, so ive also tried to unb0rk that too!
