Anyone with young children and seat boosters will know where im coming from…….

we just changed one of our girls child seats
to a booster which uses the cars own seat belt to strap them in (and the isofix for the frame)
When you are trying to first if all find the seat belt clasp in the seat base then push the buckle into it and the bloody clasp sinks into and under the seat base, all the while leaning over the little cherub in the massive child seat booster it gets a little frustrating to say the least.
Theres also the knowledge that the Our ZS has the seat belt clasp fixed in place on the end of a bar so wont sink into the seat base

So my solution is a piece of ply with a hole in it!!

That's a very neat solution. I haven't had your issue, but know that the rear belt buckles are a pain when rear passengers have to do the belts up!

its the only solution I could come up with!
Hay ho.
Just a shame the car designer has no ‘life experience’

That's strange on my ZS (Petrol 1.0 Auto) the rear seat belt clips do not sink like shown in your pictures, its kind of more flush with the seat.

If you read my first post I mention that our MG ZS has the clasp mounted
Solidly on a bar, but our MG5 the clasp are just attached to a strap.

I had the same problem doing the same thing. I ended up buying some seat belt extenders which makes things much easier

Same problem in the MG4. I too have just moved my daughter up to a booster seat.

I haven't the tools or the skills to copy your wooden solution, but I'm eyeing up this product on Amazon. Anyone tried it or similar?

Or maybe just shove a load of foam in the hole...
