Might Switch To Full EV?

Mate, you would not believe the amount of shit I've had from my biker mates already.
Apparently a PHEV only makes me gay curious?
So any switch to a full EV will undoubtedly make me a full on shirt lifter in their eyes! 🤣
Oh dear, toxic masculinity alive and well, then.

I don't get it myself.

I have a former colleague (now just a facebook connection) who is into cars and bikes and he seemed to like my EV posts when I first got mine. Assumed he appreciated the acceleration.

Well Julian , guess you won't be interested in the electric Kawasaki Ninja then.
Definitely not!
Every bike I've had with factory fitted standard exhausts has resulted in numerous SMIDSY moments (Sorry Mate I Didn't See You)
A totally silent EV bike seems like a recipe for being knocked off!

As the old saying goes..."Loud pipes save lives"... 🙂

But they certainly never miss any opportunity to take the piss.
Aye, put up with it for the last 11 years "White Goods", "Milk Float", "Sewing Machine", "Mobility Scooter", "Needs a new battery after 5 years that will write it off", "I can do 700 miles without stopping and refuel in 5 minutes", "You cant wash them in the rain", "They catch fire every 2 minutes", "Only good for 50 mph", "Must have specialist garages for any work on an EV".

All b*ll*cks, every one of em has rescinded their statements after doing a trip with me :D:D:D theyre reluctant to start talking cars at the minute, the cost of petrol and diesel makes them easy prey for an EV driver as does performance hehehe.

Wow 11yrs eh John!
I don't envy you the shit you must have received as such an early adopter.
My mates comments are predominantly just harmless ribbing.
As I said, it's mainly just any opportunity to take the piss about anything & everything! 🙂

Yeah, they say it's banter but some of them for some reason are pretty serious, I really dont understand why though. I can only think in reality it's jealousy and they just make their stupid statement as a mask for their true feelings.

Anyway, it doesn't matter to me I've heard it all before and I'm sure I'll hear it again. Theyre under the illusion they're talking to someone that actually gives a s**t about their views. It's good fun dropping on them at a set of traffic lights and watch disappear into distance in the rear view mirror LOL.

All coming full circle now though. What comes around, goes around. Now who's bloody laughing. 🤣 Love it! 🙂👍
Absolutely, I love it when they start you have to sit around for 2 hours to charge it up. Oh no I don't, I go shopping, to the cinema, to a show, out for a meal or bed. I don't have to stay with car like they do so I'm actually waiting less than them.

I always kept factory but friends used to change to Motad or Harris , the only options at the time.
One of our standard roads was towards Preston over Belmont passing Abbey village , again at the time all NSL. Abbey village is a row of terrace houses ( 10 ish ) and one evening a bloke stood outside his property and threw stones , brick bits at the passing bikers and it seemed to me , the louder the pipe was directly proportional to the quantity of masonry being being launched by the angry red faced buffoon who finished off his attack in the style of the English Archers in the fields of France.

I wanted a large SUV with an MG badge & ideally some form of electrification.
Consequently, my only choice was an HS PHEV..

I purchased a PHEV to drastically reduce range anxiety.

for now, a PHEV feels like a safe bet.

the current plan is to keep my 2026 HS PHEV for 10yrs.

7 days later...
I think that a full EV might suit my needs better

Is that you, Starmer?

I'm slightly reluctant (only slightly) to take the Piss out of ICE-age drivers as at the end of the day, we are all drivers. And i don't like seeing any fellow driver's screwed. But as said the stick they give EVs is unbelievable. Infact what the hell am i saying ****um. 😉🙂👍

Fair comment, I did quickly go from deciding it would do me until I was nearing my official retirement age.
To thinking a full EV might be better due to my ultra low mileage per vehicle I own.

But can I add that you need to get a hobby? Picking all those comments out of numerous posts. Suggests that you have far too much time on your hands! 😉 🤣

He'd be drinking his liquidised Sunday lunch through a straw!
And his Mrs would be holding the glass it was in. Due to his broken arms!
