Over the weekend I managed to fall over and break my elbow!

As we were due to travel from Kent to Somerset, my wife drove and it seems my car hates her. During the journey we turned off every alert we could find but, for no obvious reason and with nothing on the dash, we kept getting three boings, descending in tone. Sometimes they were slow, sometimes they were quicker or more urgent.

Does the collective have any idea what they are trying to tell us? I have got the alert occasionally but can't find a reason for them.

Possibly the driver fatigue/distraction warning.

I was going to suggest the driver fatigue warning especially if she wears glasses. The other source of mysterious boings is the sat-nav warning about school zones, high accident and urban zones etc.

These can be turned off by tapping the three lines at the bottom left of the sat-nav screen, then settings, then warnings. Turn off those you don't want.

The key thought here is what speed was your wife driving at?
Was she driving just above the speed limit then just below.
This would cause the symptoms you advised.

As advised the sat nav audio warnings need turning off as well as the car options.

^^This^^
Edit: Ha! Or maybe not. It was according to Google in the MG3 and MG HS, but rephrase the question to add in the S5 and you get a "No" from Google! I give up!

Could be this, even when you turn off speed notifications on screen the car will bong at you when you go over. If you are hovering about the limit it's possible the car was passing the limit a lot.

Everything with the car's sat nag is off.
Oddly, although we though the distraction alarm was off, it seems it may not have been set into the pilot settings. My wife wears glasses so it could be that. When we go out tomorrow we may find out.

Even when you have speed recognition turned off it will still bong at you once every time you go over the limit.
