Hi all.

Took delivery of my IM6 LE last saturday. Spent a few days in the week driving it around London and venturing a little on the motorway. I don't need to go on all the good points. We already know them. The range is actually not too bad. Only charged it once on a public charger near me. Took a while to figure out first how to activate the charger, then how to use it. Wasn't too bad once I got it going.

As a car, as a driving experience, I have no complaints. Large, roomy. Wife loves it. Even loves being at the back with our 3-year old because of the panaromic roof. Our little girl nicely entertained by the clouds in the sky. Not as "sporty" as my Stelvio. Italian cars, great for a fun drive. But keeps telling you every little bump on the road (i have the semi-active dampers too). For everyday driving and with family, bit too much. The IM6 is more relaxed. The whole ride reminds me of those stately Mercedes with their worm gear steering rack in the 90s. Yes, a bit more distant, but responsive enough to dart around London roadworks and tight side streets.

Autopark is a hoot. One thing most people don't comment on is that demo impressions don't tell the whole story. When there are no hazards and good clearance, the car will dart in in one breath at a seemingly alarming speed. In tight spaces, it actually eases in slowly like you would do yourself and it feels controlled and consideredm with lots of time for you to stop it if you want to. But its very safe. But it does leave too much of a gap if you really are in a tight space like me. And parallel parking was clearly designed for non-European spaces. While it should be the ideal gap to the curb, it is not feasible in the UK or even much of Europe.

Menu and other electronic functions take a while to get used to. As well as using the phone to start the car. Got the sequence figured out. Going out on a limb today by driving to work with only my phone. I will let you guys know if I get stranded!

So grips and queries.

Can the time be set automatically? Even my crappy infotainment on my Alfa can sync time with the GPS. The IM6 didn't sync when the clocks changed.

ACC and MG pilot. Guys I thought I could activate one or the other independently? Can't seem to do that. So have to set the ADAS to ACC only otherwise I can only activate the MG pilot. I must be missing a trick somewhere. The steering buttons for the ACC are completely...counterintuitive for me anyway. Single click changes speed by 5mph. Hold for smaller changes. huh? Also i can't set the speed beyond 80mph. Am I missing something?

And why the hell is the hazard light button up on the roof, next to the SOS button. I must have hit the latter countless times yesterday driving to cancel my hazard lights on the move. Maybe the Chinese don't use them as much like we do as a "thank you gesture".

The onboard GPS has been a hazard. I will try again but the POIs were completely wrong! Was ok if you type in the postcode directly. I can't get to send any destinations from my phone app to the car. Something which the dated Fiat system could do on my Alfa. (frankly, never though the Alfa system would be better in certain aspects compared to other cars, especially state of the art EVs!)

Android Auto connection has been fine. Just that Waze is unusable. Google Maps is fine.

I think that's about it!
