Afternoon all,

Newbie here, took delivery of a shiny new S6 Trophy yesterday in Startford Gold. Have to say so far so good. It's nice & roomy and drives well.
I've had a T*sla Y & Model 3 previously, so not new to the EV experience.
Couple of things leapt out so far
How do I shut the speed limit warning, jeez she's loud!! Or just even turn it down. I've tried disabling through the infotainment screen and creating a driver profile as suggested by the dealer but that doesn't seem to work.
Can you get the screens to automatically go into dark mode at night time? Or do you have to faff through settign everytime.
Thanks
Ned

To the forum, Ned. Lovely motor! Particularly in that colour. 🙂👍

Easy one first: no you can't get the screen to go into dark mode at night. I have mine in dark mode all the time. You get used to it. There is insufficient brightness adjustment to have the light mode on at night, sadly.

The settings are all there in the infotainment screen somewhere to switch off the yawn detector and either reduce the volume of the speed limit bongs or to switch them off. You will then need to store them with a long press on the MG Pilot button and you must go through a two-stage process to reset those preferences every time you restart the car (NCAP 2025/26 requirement). You do this by swiping the home screen down and selecting MG Pilot (which you can do when you are moving) and confirming the choice.

The different assist settings are done in the MG pilot section. Choose what you want to have active/deactivated, and then press and hold the MG pilot icon at the top. That saves your MG pilot settings. This has to be turned on every time you start the car, but to do that, simply swipe down on the screen, and press the MG pilot icon. That loads your saved setting again.

Unfortunately, there's no automatic day/night mode, and it buggers me too! Hopefully that's something that can be rectified in later update (along with various other missing functions/features)

Hmmm...That must be country/region dependent then, because I can't activate it while moving. Has to be stationary. I Don't have to be in park, but stationary at least.

I'm forever forgetting to engage MG Pilot till I'm halfway down the lane, or I get the first notification of a yawn!

Thanks for the advice! I'll have a look, presumably the MG Pilot would be dependant on which driver position is chosen so I have a preference setting and the good lady has her preference setting which would mrrior in the MG pilot?

Ehhh... No. That kind of logic does not apply to Chinese cars. Seat position and MG pilot settings are totally independent.
