Picked up the car this morning (MG4(OG) next to it). AMA.
Nice drive, great front visibility. Side mirror shape much better than MG4 for wider view.
Throttle response is toned down imo compared to MG4 in normal (response not acceleration). Sport still pushes you back nicely, not managed launch control yet so can’t compare… yet. I found the suspension is still great, very flat through corners while still absorbing bumps.
Biggest (only real) gripe is regen settings reset when you change driver mode which i find annoying and i could make an argument its potentially dangerous to go into a corner and not have the regen you expect including one pedal driving. Apparently this is how it works on the HS though. I’ve just mapped the steering wheel star to regen settings so hopefully just a tiny niggle.
Infotainment is familiar but different. Same and slightly more annoying driver aids BUT there is a driver profile which turns all of them off instantly if you want, you do have to press a shortcut button every time. Still need to play so ask questions.
The driver screen works slightly different to MG4 (OG), switching between menus no longer uses the joysticks. You can customise which screens (tyre, presure, music, trip) you cycle through.
Qi wireless charging seems to better with a grippy surface but likely for your phone to fly off if cornering or braking hard. Little phone holder is great addition.
Trailgate works fine but as with every car the foot sensor is more a gimmick.
Good space under the shelf and shelf can drop down for more room.
