Picked up the car this morning (MG4(OG) next to it). AMA.

Nice drive, great front visibility. Side mirror shape much better than MG4 for wider view.
Throttle response is toned down imo compared to MG4 in normal (response not acceleration). Sport still pushes you back nicely, not managed launch control yet so can’t compare… yet. I found the suspension is still great, very flat through corners while still absorbing bumps.

Biggest (only real) gripe is regen settings reset when you change driver mode which i find annoying and i could make an argument its potentially dangerous to go into a corner and not have the regen you expect including one pedal driving. Apparently this is how it works on the HS though. I’ve just mapped the steering wheel star to regen settings so hopefully just a tiny niggle.

Infotainment is familiar but different. Same and slightly more annoying driver aids BUT there is a driver profile which turns all of them off instantly if you want, you do have to press a shortcut button every time. Still need to play so ask questions.

The driver screen works slightly different to MG4 (OG), switching between menus no longer uses the joysticks. You can customise which screens (tyre, presure, music, trip) you cycle through.

Qi wireless charging seems to better with a grippy surface but likely for your phone to fly off if cornering or braking hard. Little phone holder is great addition.

Trailgate works fine but as with every car the foot sensor is more a gimmick.

Good space under the shelf and shelf can drop down for more room.

Where did you get the ceramic coating from and how long did it take to prep and apply? Looks 👍

Used Meguiar’s Liquid Ceramic Wax very easy to apply took just a couple of hours and all you need to do to keep it looking good is use their Ceramic Spray when you wash the car. I did use Meguiar’s 21 Paint Sealant first and left it 24 hours before applying the ceramic but that’s not really necessary, but I had some in the cupboard.
Currently Amazon has the Ceramic Wax on offer, I bought both the wax & spray for £40.

I could easily see one of these being my next EV, but am interested whether the Trophy supports programmable drivers seat selection. SHMBO is driving more these days and it's a bit of a pain keep changing the seat position manually.

Unfortunately not, drivers seat is electrically adjustable but sadly lacks memory function.

Not hard to change the position between 2 drivers, though, is it. Seconds probably.
A lot easier than manual seats. Even without Memory. 🙂👍

That's a shame - it ticks most other boxes...

We have to do that at the moment, and it's a pain to get spot on. Our ICE is just a button push away.

Fair enough. Just seams a shame, if that's all that's stopping you. 🙂👍

The latest, MG HS Trophy has memory seats. If that's something that might interest you. 🙂👍

Our MG5 ticked most of the boxes, but our next EV needs to tick them all - otherwise why bother changing?

We're only interested in EVs, but they're coming out more quickly now - and some of them must have everything that we need.

Don't blame you. A new motor is no small outlay. So gotta be right. 🙂👍

I have a very random question that I can’t find an answer for. On the trophy does it show the blind spot cameras on the screen when making a turn?

Yes, it takes up about 1/4 of the sceen like a pop up. Just need to bare in mind the camera is in the wing mirror.
