Hi all,

This is something I noticed during the weekend while I was driving around and playing with the pilot mode.
When I am driving the moment I start hitting the brakes and all the way down to 3 mph the car regens. I can see it clearly in the energy consumption graph on the driver's display. Happy days.

When I use the pilot when the car reduces speed there is nothing visible as regen...It is a graph glitch or you reckon the car is using friction only braking when on pilot? If the latter the pilot is to be avoided...

I'm sure I've seen green with the pilot (Will double check tomorrow on the motorway). It's with higher speeds though not on the traffic.

In the traffic human is much better with anticipating so I don't use brakes as much, mean green is more consistent. Pilot's braking seems much more aggressive so there's not much time for regen as it must be using mechanical brakes.

If you could check that would be great. I will check again today too. There is a spot on my daily commute where the pilot should gradually bring the car to complete stop. It will give me a good indication.

Right; I just came back from driving the afore mentioned route.
I can confirm that I can see a difference between driving manually and pilot on the regen levels.
When on pilot I can only see a small dot regardless of how hard or soft the car is braking.
When I brake even under robust braking there is loads of regen.
Not sure if it is a visual thing (on pilot) or it does use only mechanical braking. Not sure where to look for additional information on the matter.

I've tested it on mine. It does regren braking. It's not just a dot.

I agree though that it's not a good as manual. But that was to be expected considering what I mentioned before about it being more aggressive and not anticipating the stops the same as human.
