Hello, my ZS EV Trophy has just had its 2 year service. The cabin pollen filter is replaced at 2 years. I needed to remove it after the service as some leaves had found their way into the fan and discovered a flimsy paper filter. I'm sure this is where the PM2.5 filter lives and the dealer is fitting a cheaper filter. Does anyone know what the filter in the Trophy should look like please?

I had a similar issue - I'm pretty sure the original has PM2.5 written on it, others will be able to confirm I'm sure.

Yes, I have seen this somewhere in the forum and yes, as far as I remember it should say it's PM2.5, that's what's supposed to be the right filter for Trophy - call the garage and ask them to replace or post it to you. Could be a case of one guy mixing up the boxes for Trophy and "regular" ...

Garage say they only have one type of filter for all cars. I’ll try MG themselves.

Thanks for posting, I think it's worth me getting the right filter.

Hi I’m in the exact same situation, after my 2 year service the fan is noisy, almost sounds like a motor at higher speeds, a bit of noise starts at fan speed 3 and then gets louder at higher speeds. My new filter also doesn’t have the PM 2.5 on it.
How did you manage to remove the leaves/debris from the fan? I couldn’t visibly see anything at all when I removed the filter.

Might not have anything written on it but the difference is it will be black/green/blue and has the activated charcoal impregnated within it.

The filter I have now is a thin paper thing. The leaves were in the fan under the filter, I had to stick my hand right in (after making 100% sure the fan was off).

Exactly the same happened to me.

Do you still have the noisy fan issue?
I have just booked my second service and had a discussion with them - the 2.5 part number has been superseded apparently -

Oh dear, that’s not good.

Following my second service the dealer fitted a Micron Air filter - no idea if it's the right one, I have no clarity from the dealers or MG CS. Chorley MG said there is only one filter type (no 2.5pm) but same original part number nothing newer. :(

Do you have a photo of the top of the filter when you pull it out?
