Poor data connectivity for app

I live in an area that is pretty bad for mobile data connectivity. Most of our friends and family have trouble connecting to data here, although the network I am on is fine.

However, the car also has an issue with connecting to the mobile network here, due to this, the app is near enough unusable at home, because it can never connect to the car to find out information, or to let me start cooling/heating etc.

I have added our home wifi network in the hope that this would work, but it doesn't appear to have done anything. Has anyone had this issue and managed to resolve, or anyone got any suggestions?

I was under the impression that the eSIM was multi network so would pull in the strongest signal. I also have a weak phone signal at home (O2) but I've never had a problem connecting to the car.

I'm on three, and get full signal at home, but the car is 0-1 bar at best :-(
