Reduced charging current and remote charging via app

Hi,
I've just had some solar panels and battery fitted and no zappi..... yet.

I was hoping to remote start and stop the MG4 charge using the app. When I do this the car charges at maximum current.

If I sit in the car and choose a reduced current and start the charge from the car, it charges at that reduced current, however if I stop the car using the app and then restart it, it always comes back charging at maximum current.

Anyone else experienced this? Any work arounds?

I'd like to start and stop the charge during the day to take advantage when the sun comes out, but if like to use 8 ir 16A, not maximum current.

It would appear from previous experience here, and my own, is if you open the app during charging or prior to timed charging starting, it screws things up.

Set the app. Set the settings in the car. Begin/wait for charging. Do not open the app till it’s finished.
