I've just purchased a set of universal roof bars from Shein online. They are cheap and cheerful, but they fit on the plain roof of the MG3, and they do the job, hooking under the roof edge. A bit of a faff to assemble, but great for occasional use eg for a ladder.

I thought the listing was for a single bar, so ordered 2. When they arrived there was two pairs, hey ho! If anyone needs a set, let me know
