Hello guys.

I bought an MG S5 last year and I found:
The vehicle mainly exhibits slight steering wheel vibration at 80~90 km/h, and obvious vibration in the steering wheel and front cabin at 110~120 km/h. The 4S store’s proposed solution is to re-perform tire dynamic balancing. This is the fourth time dynamic balancing has been carried out since I first reported the high-speed stability issue to the 4S store on October 15, 2025. However, the vibration problem still remains unsolved after road tests following each balancing service.

The after-sales service suggested arranging a road test on the same route in a store-owned MG ES5 demonstration vehicle when it became available this week. On April 29, 2026, I conducted a joint road test with the after-sales staff in the demonstration vehicle, and the exact same high-speed vibration issue was observed.

Do you guys have the same issue?
If yes, how did you solve it?

Thank you very much!

No issues with vibration here.

Thank you all for your feedback, then I believe the only possible reason is the tires, I will replace them ASAP.

It could be they've flat spotted during storage either while the car was being shippe or at the dealers.

Yes, I fully agree, since mine has been in dealer's stock for more than 9 months.
The dealer now agreed to pay for 4 new ties for me.

Thank you

Good result.
That could explain why the other one you tried had the same problem.

Right.

Oh, by the way, could you please kindly share the tire type you are using?

Mine from original factory is Giti F50, 215/55/R18, 95H

The factory fit tyres in the UK are Bridgestone Turanza T005 Enliten 225/55 R18 102V

The load index and speed rating of the original factory-fitted tires for the Chinese domestic version appear to be noticeably lower than those of the UK version. I will reselect and replace the tires according to the UK original specifications you provided.

Thanks a lot.
