What we miss out on with the UK version of the IM5...

Interesting video from one of my favourite YouTubers in China, WheelsBoy - he goes through the China-spec IM5 (sold as the L6) and it's noticeable what IM5 owners don't get here, such as rear animated graphics in the light bar (which would be fun but ultimately stupid due to abuse), electrochromatic panoramic sunroof, far superior semi-autonomous driving (I can't tell if it's LIDAR on the roof or just extra cameras and radars), "Quick Lizard Digital Chassis" (!), yolk steering wheel...

The old days of watered down videogames running at slow 50hz on top of waiting 10 months for a port version. Sounds about right lol....no summon either.

Great Video. Love those rear digital led graphics. Totally useless, but, brilliant!
Still not keen on that that yoke, steering wheel. Don't like that lump, thing on the roof. Lovely motor though.

Usually a hump on the front roof means LiDAR.

We don't get Chinese style autonomy because we don't have first-world roads. The Chinese have beautiful smooth, wide and perfectly lined roads to drive upon that Brits can only dream about and their systems would not cope with the challenge.

We don't get the rear 80s-style animated graphics because I believe that is illegal here.

We don't get the sunroof because.... well for some reason MG UK don't think people want them here, which is bizarre as this is the best place for them.

This version was the car i was talking about when they launched in the UK.
The UK and Australia get the older lower tech version.
