MG4 (2022-2025)
There are now two MG4s.

Have we done a poll on preferences between the two?

I think that people in this forum are talking more about the refreshed MG4 rather than the urban.

I wonder if we are an unusual group in our interests, but still, I thought we could review the responses to the two cars.

Do put your further thoughts and reasons in the chat.

MG4 facelift, just altogether a nicer car.
Looks better, drives better, nicer interior.
And would have to be the X Power. Colour wise, seeing as there's no Orange 😥🙄
Silver or White. Although leaning towards Silver. 🙂👍
I agree, as I've said elsewhere, it made my '74 plate Trophy ER feel dated when I got back in to it🤔🙂

I didn't add 'colour' as a consideration. I don't think there is much difference between the two is there?
Ealing Green for the MG4 vs. Stone Green for the Urban
Picadilly Blue for the MG4 vs Holborne Blue for the Urban

I was comparing the MG4 facelift to the Urban. When I said far nicer car, not the pre-facelift MG4. Obviously I'm biased, but wouldn't say it dates it at all. Fair enough the new interior is definitely a step up, and looks great, but the old ones hardly, dated. Still a nice place to be.
But it's all about, opinions. 🙂👍

Urban is great for value but for me it would still be the classic MG4 refresh, I would choose 64kWh premium version myself, not X Power due to colour options now available but would find a colour suitable for non X power ( super biased opinion as it needs to be Orange).

i have an Urban Comfort on order, delivery next week.
Chose Black Pearl in keeping with my tradition (only black cars).

for my personal use, it's better value since it gives me what i need without the extras i don't need.

Looks wise, with the exception perhaps of the alloys which are only 16 inch with aero covers, i prefer the looks of the Urban, they tail lights look really good, and when i saw it parked right next to the mg4 at the dealership, it looked a bit better proportioned imho, plus it has a slightly better drag coefficient, as the front is a bit cleaner.

Driving dynamics wise the fwd will make my life a little less zingy but the extra room and the consumption figures will benefit my wallet.

Thanks for sharing - beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder so that aspect is going to be subjective.

And the relative importance of the other factors depends on your own values and situation.

So, as was mentioned by @Chrisdriving, having more choice is a good thing. 😊 :)

ever since Millie is in my life, my priorities have changed
