Not an MG
I have driven an MG3 Hybrid Trophy a few times as we have one near us on the Zipcar carshare and I absolutely love it. I would like one for myself, but I don't really fancy signing up to finance, especially with the 6.9APR.

I have found an SE model on a lease with AA for £142 a month with a 12 month deposit and £299 arrangement fee, this works out at around £5300 for the two years. It does say on the AA site that there may be the possibility of buying the car at the end of the lease and to call for a price.

The only deals I can find are for the SE, as far as I can see the differences are

1)Fabric seats - Not a big issue, I probably prefer the fabric
2)No privacy glass - not bothered about this
3)No heated steering wheel or seats - Never had them, not too bothered

Then it gets onto the stuff I would have prefered (in this order)

1)360 camera
2)Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Zone Detection with Lane Change Assist
3)Keyless entry
4)Auto wippers

So a couple of questions

1)Does the SE have to be started with the key, or does it still have a stop/start button
2)I assume on the small screen in front of the driver you don't get the diagram showing cars alongside you because it is missing the blind zone detection/rear cross traffic alert?

Really trying to work out if I would be happy with this car, or if I will constantly thinking I should have got the Trophy. Has anybody actually gone for an SE as it seems the majority of cars are Trophy spec.

I've got to admit, I love the extra features the Trophy has, especially the 360 camera which shows a clever view from above which is great for parking in parking bays etc. Of course the heated seats are good etc, and I never have to get my keys out of my pocket once I leave the house.

At least in Spain, the price difference between the "SE" and the "Trophy" (they have different names here) is so little that it's worth getting the "Trophy" instead.

You can also compare the full specs in the brochure to see what would be missing, but from my PoV, the only important part would be the 360º camera, I wouldn't miss the rest of the "features" 😅

For example, the "key-less entry" is a tad oversold; you still need to click the button on the door handle and wait for the car to unlock before opening the door.
