ZS Hybrid heated steering wheel

It seems that only some markets got the heated steering wheel. I was expecting that the top of range MY25 Jan build Essence model in Australia would have got this option. But no it didn't, but it did get the heated seeats which are great here in the middle of Winter with -2 degrees C overnight.

My question is... can the heated steering wheel be simply activated or added at dealer? I would be surprised if the car did not have the same wheel and wiring loom as in other markets.

We did get the sunroof which will be great in the summer heat, but that is a while off yet!

Any information about this is welcome, even if it is a no deal.

It definitely seems odd that MG think you'd benefit from heated seats in Australia, but not the heated steering wheel.

If you got it on the Essence, but not the Excite, it would probably be possible to retrofit it to the lower model, but because it doesn't come with any ZS model, I reckon it would be a whole load of hassle and expense to fit it (if it's even possible), I'd suggest a pair of gloves mate.

Yes, we had sun on Sunday, but now it's back to coats.

I would take the sunroof over the heated wheel anyday. I was just hoping the wiring loom may be in situ and just a tuning process. Hopefully someone that knows finds this and will comment.

Especially given every pic of the ZS on the screens constantly teases us with the forbidden fruit of the panoramic sunroof here in Europe.

It's amazing what gimmicks they use to sell things.

In my area the local car wash is now being operated by nude ladies. Lots of people fall for it.

Anyway, can't stop, am just off to the car wash now. It will be my fith in three days, car is certainly looking good.

l live in Cairns, Far North Qld. I still heat the car and seat before getting in early mornings up here in the tropics . I also went looking for the steering wheel warmer bcos my fingers are stiff in the mornings, but yeh - they didn't include it. But l have a very sexy white interior which l fought tooth and nail for and never got the outside colour l ordered & paid for. Gotta love Chinese sales Sunroof is always open even with air con at times.

In Australia, we have to go all out to get a European car with a sunroof.
