If you're a numpty then I'm an amoeba XD Thanks for the quick reply!
Hi - I have done some work on the hardware configuration. Did you get anywhere with porting the car across, or did you realise like I did that unless you are a python programmer that this whole process is much more complex than just connecting the Comma X3 to the front facing camera. I am still thinking of taking the plunge, buying the kit and seeing if I can get it to work, on the basis it will end up in a box in the garage if I fail, or possibly just be an expensive dashcam!hey guys i just bought an mg4 trophy and starting the installation of comma three, shall we get all resources together somewhere?
Speaking of, is the Comma X3 also a dashcam? Can it work with the car locked "on sensing a collision/shock" ?Hi - I have done some work on the hardware configuration. Daniele, I have made a complete mess of my house with HomeAssistant (I love it) but everytime there is a glitch I get an earful, which is completely justified. I am going to have a go with Openpilot at some stage. The kit is about £1000 and the car harness will need to have the correct plugs attached to it. I am thinking of taking the next step in the next 6mths - when I have earned some home credibility....I will be in touch as soon as I make the leap!Hi, my name is Daniele. I'm a software engineer. I don't currently own an MG, but I'm considering buying one. I might be able to add OpenPilot support to MG vehicles. All I need is to connect with someone who has all the necessary hardware. In theory, through a video call and remote access to a laptop, I should be able to accomplish this! (Although I've never worked directly with OpenPilot, I have a basic understanding, and given my experience in this field, I believe it's achievable).
