On an EV News Daily podcast I heard today (I'm about 2 weeks behind), I heard that in Korea, the decade of driver that bought the most EVs was the 50s. I think next was the 40s, then the 60s. So much for mainly the young embracing new technology. My theory about a forum full of geriatrics is holding up quite well
What spurred this post was a very loud ICE car racing away in the background. Quite likely a young driver, whose brains aren't fully formed yet . I realised that EVs would likely not appeal to that market segment (young hoons), even though EVs are generally quicker than most ICE cars. What's the point of being the quickest if nobody else in the whole suburb knows about it?
