Sat nav problem ZS trophy long range

Hi everyone. Picked up my ZS trophy long range on Wednesday and I love it.
Apologies,because I bet this has been mentioned before but my sat nav doesn't seem to be working. The dealership put my home address into the destination favourites but when I press on it, the screen shows my current location, but doesn't move from there. Will go back to the dealership to get them to check it out, but wondered if it was something I was/wasn't doing ! Thanks all

Go into settings and turn off Dead Reckoning, then press and hold the home button to reset the unit then it will work

Go into navigation, then click on the 3 dots on right hand side, then into more settings, manage features, dead reckoning is in there

Everybody suffers the same problem, turn off the dead reckoning as @ChrisMac suggests and it work instantly.
I am still surprised that the dealers are not turning it off as part of the PDI ???.

I spoke with dealer yesterday and apparently all new ones being delivered should now have it turned off. Still not got an answer to why it's there in the first place and what it does, lol

I have the same problem.There is a software fault and my dealership is awaiting a software update.I’m currently using apple maps for my navigation.

Have you tried turning off dead reckoning?

With it turned on, it is supposed to still keep tracking your position, while travelling through a small tunnel etc.
But it fails to do so, and needs a software upgrade to correct.
The quick fix, is to turn it off and the Sat nav will work correctly.
Almost every owner has had the same problem,
One of the forum members found the fix before the dealers !.
Sounds about right to me .

Did you hold in the physical home button under the screen to reset the unit once you had done it?

Thanks everyone, that has sorted it. Can't believe the dealer did not know this ! I'm sure I'll be popping up here from time to time. Haven't got my head round the charging on my zappi yet

Think i mentioned it before, but mine works fine with that option on, and it also tracks fine when i go through a nearby tunnel that is 800 meters long.

Don't know why, the only difference between mine and a lot of other cars, is that mine is set to Danish language. (And the label is also something in Danish, that if i translate it back into English using google translate is "Blind spot")

This would be an update for the navigation software, i would certainly hope and think, that this would be something that they can do via the OTA update.

They promised that the infotainment would receive updates OTA, and the satnav i certainly a part of the infotainment, atleast in my book it is.

They you go - another happy camper !.
I have been active on this forum for over two years now.
A great bunch of people who are only too happy to share and help in any way they can.
Some times, being able to offer much quicker and with a better knowledge base than SOME dealers, as it turns out !.
Remember this :- The only daft question, is the one that is not asked !.

Go to satnav settings and switch off "Dead reckoning"

Turn off dead reckoning THEN press home button for at least 10 secs - system will reboot without the fault

Oh yes. I forgot that a reboot is required to complete the change.
