I use the obdlink LX but also have one of the Vgate Amazon/eBay cheap ones that I use for Leafspy on the wife's car and that works fine too. The obdlink is just a lot more secure..

Not if the adhesive pads cover the holes

Mine are secured with 2 screws like a normal UK plate would plus sticky pads. The 2 screws alone would be fine but being an oversized plate, the pads add the extra support

As gomev said, I used sticky pads for the lower half. The Chinese mountings protrude slightly so the pads take up the excess and allow for a cleaner fit

Thanks for the link - no I wasn't but I did a forum search for ES5 before posting and for whatever reason it returned zero results.

I've seen a few videos over the past week relating to the ES5* SUV - the 2 below quite detailed At least one of them has touted this as the MG5 replacement based on the MG4 It looks OK but seems more like a ZS replacement than a 5 Be interesting to know if anyone else has seen any press...

I went with the V2 Jag plate too with an optional border line and green stripe - a lot tidier (car needs a wash though!)

Successful update on my 72 plate PFL Exclusive yesterday while in for 2 year service - no additional charge. Tested this morning and all worked fine though speed seemed to peak at 37kW - maybe because I only left it 5 mins as a test charge but still OK given potential cost savings

Some insurers are not offering quotes for MG EVs due to parts availability and manufacturers repair guidance. Maybe cover that.
