SAIC is part of the Chinese state. They can't go bankrupt. The state could pull the plug I suppose, like the UK did for British Leyland, but it is helping with Chinese exports.
At a certain point China just froze their central economic plan (with government enterprises like SAIC) and allowed...
I don't recognise 'atedugt phamagn'
Can I check if you are talking about:
discharging from the car (V2L)
Charging the car on an AC charger
Charging the car on a DC (rapid) charger
Good term!
I wasn't aware that there were two levels of pressure for hydrogen and you really need the higher one for trucks (but the few filling stations there are operate at the lower pressure).
I expect that the issues with hydrogen can be resolved, but will all that expense be worth it...
Indeed.
Lots of new chemistries, meaning that each use case can have its own optimal chemistry.
I'm sceptical of H2 claims. It is beloved by the fossil fuel industry (who currently make all the hydrogen in a very polluting manner) as a way to disparage batteries and heat pumps with something...
I expect the RFID card is useful in case your card/phone don't work and there is no mobile signal.
Plus they often give a small discount and sometimes larger discounts (Plunge pricing).
Electroverse would work on a lot more places/providers (including Ionity) so I would get that one...
Great - welcome to the forum!
Fair enough. Quite a competitive sector but go with what looks like a good deal when you make the choice.
I would have expected that it would be UV protective glass, just like I thought that other car windows are supposed to be. Though looking it up apparently...
1) I'd probably look for somewhere to charge at the destination if the car can make it in one go.
2) If you were going down the M23 and wanted an easy option you could top up at the Gridserve at Gatwick or Pease Pottage services. Not the cheapest, though.
3) Look it up on ABRB, see what the...
I've been quoted £4k for 5 panels with optimizers on the garage and a simple inverter. (We already have hybrid inverter and battery for the roof solar.)
Would need a new consumer unit for it though.
The labour is getting to be the expensive thing, rather than the equipment. Perhaps...
Sounds like a very objectionable character.
Shame you didn't get the opportunity to ask what his house used in that time to compare that as well. Might have led him to twigging a bit sooner.
Just to add, I wasn't trying to get to zero! I wanted to go below 10% to allow a balance charge (and also it is cheaper to fill up at home, even though we aren't on cheap overnight at the moment).
I tried to top up an appropriate amount at our holiday cottage to arrive with the right amount...
Definitely the lowest we've gone and probably the lowest for the car as I doubt the dealership let it go so low when it was a demo car.
Will finally get to do a proper balance charge from under 10% !!! I think the previous ones were from around 11-13%
Any need to worry?
Pebbles was very...
Oh dear, salesman had a field day. There are still some awful people/companies out there, though most in the industry seem ok.
Always get three quotes and go with reputable suppliers!
Were they with MCS then? (Necessary for export payments). As MCS suppliers they should provide predictions etc?
We added a reversing camera to our SR SE which cost several hundred pounds.
Newer SE models come with the camera and rear wiper.
Prefer the LFP battery, which suits us fine as we rarely exceed the range.
Oh, I see, then your question makes more sense.
I have never seen this and used to rent so have lived in quite a few places. Only ever seen them connected directly to a fused switch in the wall and thus assumed this was a regulation.
I think the recommendations about plugging in boilers will...
Yeah, I will absolutely give it a squirt to overtake when the situation requires it and I want to get past some slow moving traffic.
I even accidentally got up to about 80 the other day when doing this.
Then once past the slow movers I go back to 65 in the slow lane until hitting the next...
You mean the proposal to use a double-male-ended cable to connect the V2L to the home supply?
Do you think that MG should have included in the manual that such a cable is illegal in the UK and considered unsafe?
Should they also include the fact that it is illegal and unsafe to drive the...
The Everything Electric event is coming up in Farnborough in early October: Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th.
The best offer code I have seen is 20% off. It is JHTEE20 (From "Just have a think" Dave Borlace)
I've heard that people wearing their merch (and Members of Parliament) get to go for...
Saw two 4's on our journey along the A40 this afternoon, a white and a black. Waves not obviously returned.
Then at Lidl in West Gloucester a Smurf parked a few rows in front of us not long after we arrived. Would have said hi but the driver didn't get out while I was in the car park.
