The dealer's will always try and sell you these additional things so as to boost their revenue and profits. They are expensive but you will have to make your own mind up.

This very much accords with my view. I have had my lovely SE SR for just over 2 years and have never even been close to having a range problem. As others have rightly said, you just need to plan. And this is more than made up for by the ease of use and pleasurable driving experience.

It is an interesting question. This is my 3rd new car and the 1st EV. I was initially more careful and a bit more cautious. But after 2 years, I treat it the same as any other car, and just drive it normally, but with a lot more enjoyment.
