Good to see it's not just me then.. thanks for the replies.Wonder if MG ever look at the feedback we all give via this brilliant forum. Save them a fortune on customer surveys. I'll update if I get a response from MG directly.
My MG4 L/R was in for 3rd service and MOT 2 weeks ago. When I checked the service report properly at home I noticed the battery state of health was hand-written in biro at what I think is 96%. I thought I would get a "proper" report not just this. I contacted the dealer and they replied "so...
So..update. Bought/used new pressure guage today on cold tyres. Confirms that 3 tyres are 2.6 bar ( ish) but the one with the new sensor is 2.95 bar. I'll trust the guage as it's clearly showing the LNS is over-inflated as suspected from the dash reading and I'll adjust to match the others...
Totally agree, i'm just living in world of hoping it will settle, real pain having to let the car go all day and 45 mins each way. Courtesy car ? of course , no problem...for £30.
Update: Back from dealers. The NSR sensor was faulty apparantly. Replaced. They have inflated tyres to "correct" pressures : 2.8 all round except NSR now at 3.2 ! It may settle down I suppose..At least I didn't get any warning message on the drive home. Will monitor..
Thanks for the swift reply. Just checked and they are ( cold) 2.5 bar which is 36.2 psi. Worth a try at 2.6 I guess( 38 psi) as you suggest. I would understand that if it was a low pressure warning message but it's a pressure system failure message i'm getting so I can't really trust anything...
Afternoon all,
Had the MG4 Trophy L/R for 3 months now, love it 90% of the time, perhaps a common statement ? 10% that I don't are the usual software glitches/quality of interior plastics etc. I understand and can overcome these shortcomings most of the time. Recently though I have had a " tyre...
Thanks for the comment... . You are spot-on. We only use the car most of the time locally with the ocassional longer trip which is less than the total range so we can always get back to charge at home cheaply, it's working perfectly to charge overnight a few times a week.
Many thanks for your input. Didn't realise the app can't control the scheduled charging time if that's what your advising? The app allows you to set the start and finish time, see image. Anyway, my concern is that I had changed nothing and it had been working correctly now for 2 months, since I...
I have been using the ismart sucessfully for a few months now but yesterday, thankfully I noticed on our smart meter in the house that there was a sudden draw on power usage for the house. The car was plugged-in as usual ( around 7pm) as I wasn't using it again that day. I had as usual set the...
Thank you for your comment, it's great to know it's not just me thinking the same. My worry is that if the car has been repaired, was it involved in an accident such that the safety could be compromised? I would be worried each time I took it out, especially with young children in the back.
Many thanks, really appreciate the help/viewpoints, knew it would be a great forum to be part of. The possibility of it having been in an accident was my worry too. Bought from a well known leading on-line ev retailer I have the usual 7 days to return it so covered there albeit with lots of time...
I've just taken delivery of my MG4 L/R Trophy. Dec 2022 car. Having had a better look back home i've noticed the n/s panel where it meets to passenger door is a really bad fit. Please see images. Drivers side shown for comparison. Am I being "picky" bearing in mind the "value" price of these...
