My MG4 L/R was in for 3rd service and MOT 2 weeks ago. When I checked the service report properly at home I noticed the battery state of health was hand-written in biro at what I think is 96%. I thought I would get a "proper" report not just this. I contacted the dealer and they replied "so sorry you haven't received the battery health report! I have spoken with my technician and he did explain that the MGs systems have been all over the place so the request might have been lost.Would it be possible to get your vehicle back in for me to get this done again to ensure you get the report " From this I assume there is an "actual" report of the battery cells condition etc so booked it back in today to have this carried out. I waited while they did it. I was told it would be quick. I waited one and a half hours. I've attached what I received (!)
Is it me? is this a main dealer standard of report ? Anyone else had a similar experience ? I am going to try and get some sense from MG themselves as to what I should expect and if what I have "is it" then at least they should let their staff know so they can tell customers it will be a piece of paper without any reference to your car ( reg number/VIN etc not even an MG logo) and one single piece of information....95%. ( down 1% in 2 weeks ?) Call me old-fashioned but as much as a love the car I really miss having a paper log of everything to do with the cars history, not just filed in the etha on a cloud somewhere where the person who actually owns the car can't reach ! Rant over.... interested to hear if others feel I'm being too picky....
