Hi everyone! My ZS will be going into the shop soon and I'd like to ask them for an HV battery SOH/report. I'd like to give them an example of what a proper report looks like, from an official MG dealer/service center (they are one as well). I don't want to pick up the car by the end of the day and they go "HV battery is good" and no kind of report whatsoever.
´Would you guys mind sharing yours so I can show them in the morning as an example of what I'm expecting to get in the afternoon?

Thanks in advance!

All you get from the "test" is a percentage number which will be entered on the sheet. There's no detailed diagnostic taking place here, just extraction of a number you can actually obtain for yourself should you wish using an OBD Scanner.

Thanks again. OK, I was expecting something a little more detailed I guess.
Regarding OBDs I think I bought the wrong one even though I saw bjorn using it in his tests/review. Do you happen to use one yourself and if so which one?

Thanks again!

I use this:

The App I use with it is called "Car Scanner". I did a thread about it here:

To be honest I think it isn't worth worrying about it. I never used to worry about how worn my petrol engine was.

I completely understand your point, I'm just curious - rather curious - as the car was sold to me with almost 2 years and 4k Kms. I wonder how the battery SOC was when it was stopped for so long (or rather not being driven much but still)

I have three different brands of OBDs & none of them work on my 2023 MG ZS SR trophy. I've since learned it's something to do with missing or out of date .PID files that need to be installed in the App, but it goes over my old head & I haven't succeeded in sorting it out, I never had any trouble with a OBD in my Gen 1 MG ZS EV.

I just had my SR first service (been a couple of years since our last mk1 service), no EV service sheet anymore showing the SOH, they said the system has changed and they now just check/say if the battery is "ok".

I thought the pollen filter was changed every service too, not sure if this is a new thing but every other year they said.
So literally the 1st service is a check and nothing replaced etc.
