state of health
In the domain of Electric Vehicles, State of health (SoH) is a figure of merit of the condition of a battery (or a cell, or a battery pack), compared to its ideal conditions. The unit of SoH is percent (100% = the battery's conditions match the battery's specifications).
Typically, a battery's SoH will be 100% at the time of manufacture and will decrease over time and use. However, a battery's performance at the time of manufacture may not meet its specifications, in which case its initial SoH will be less than 100%. The biggest factors that contribute to battery degradation are driver patterns, driver aggression, climate, cabin thermal dynamics, and infrastructure, with driver patterns and climate being the biggest.
I've mentioned in a couple of other posts that my Mk1 battery state of health reports as being lower than desired. Currently it is 88.4% (confirmed at last service and also my own OBD2 reader) after 28,000 miles and 4 years with relatively little rapid charging. So I decided to try to...

The latest for me is that they have ticked that they have checked the HV state of charge & state of health but not written it down (they have done the same for the previous 2 years). I called to find out what it was and they...
