I use it, it works pretty good. I usually plan a longer route on it, and then use Google Maps to do the actual navigating, due to ABRP not working with Android Auto (maybe one day though?)
I had heard that it doesn't actually improve the rapid charging speeds. I was due to get it, but the dealer cancelled (after having my car for the day). Apparently there were some problems with it.
I would love something to improve rapid speeds though!
I have one of these for my ZS EV. It's a rear mounted rack which we use for our two e-bikes. They might do a 4 bike version as well?
Reason we got it was because it can fit both of our cars (due to differences in roof racks, we would need two sets of feet for the roof mounted systems), and I...
I wanted my phone to sit in the cubby sideways and it was slightly too long with all of the 90 degree cables that I could find. This one had a slightly smaller bend in it. Although it's a 180 degree bend on it, rather than a 90!
I've found that my second charge on a journey is always much faster than my first - I guess it's because the battery is warmer.
I was hoping that the "battery heater" update would address this - but I've not heard good things about it. I was due to get it, but the garage cancelled the appointment.
The slow charging is why I'm trying to get the battery heater update. Dealer wanted nearly £200 for it though (2 hours work at their normal rate). I really want it done, and I don't mind paying. But I feel that's a bit steep!
I did a string of rapids a couple of weeks ago, first one of the day...
I think they do a couple of different models. I got mine from DriveDen.
It looks like this:
Don't have a picture of it on the MG though, only my other car - wanted 1 rack that would do both cars!
No idea if it affects the warranty, but I do it. I have the "Peruzzo Pure Instinct", which carries 2 e-bikes.
Managed to wire in a relay for a light board too. It doesn't obscure the license plate, but it does partially block the lights.
I have put one on mine. I went with the 'Peruzzo Pure Instinct Rear Cycle Carrier'. It is rated to carry 2 e-bikes (although they have a 3 non-e bike version too) It rests on the top and just above the license plate and has 6 straps to further fix it to the car.
They aren't my favourite way of...
