Spotted my first Cyberster on the road

Just saw my first one actually driving on the road on M4 going eastbound just before Chieveley around 18:30 ish tonight, I was going westbound, Camden Grey, both of us with the roof down in the glorious sunshine and 25Degree heat. Also had just passed a Ford Focus with the front end blazing away...

    DashCam hardwire

Its not the requirement for power when switched off that motivated me to hardwire my Dashcam, but the neater installation. The Dashcam I just fitted to my Cyberster had a Cigarette Lighter plug which I have had in a Mercedes for several Years, but the Cyberster only has a Cigarette Lighter...

    Wish list of Cyberster improvements

Screens Like Post 39 from Robertoba345 when reversing. You don't need any other info when reversing except a good rear view. Hood open or close all the way without having to hold the button down, also from Key fob because if someone parks too close so you can't open the drivers door you are...

    DashCam hardwire

See the photo above in post no 6, I used the rightmost vertical one of the 3 fuses at the top left. It was the only one not in use. The 3 vertical fuses are numbered 44, 45 and 46. The rightmost one is unused. It is marked as fuse 46 in one diagram I saw and 44 in another. The 3 pronged fuses...

    Cyberster Dashcam Success

I would also prefer that but the dash cam has a 5volt USB connector so you need a converter so that would need to go somewhere. I couldn’t work out how to remove the lights. I would love to do that to route the wire anyway so if anyone knows how to get the lights out please let me know. I tried...

    DashCam hardwire

I used the 2 prong connector and it works fine if you have an unused slot like I had. If you need to use an occupied fuse slot you’ll need the 3 pin adapter

    Cyberster Dashcam Success

Thanks for that, I didn't see those pages before when I checked the manual I had downloaded. I love the fact that they have it pictured sideways and this sentence: 2 Remove the driver side knee trim panel to access the fuse box. As if anyone should know how to do that, and how are you (or an...

    Fake Sound?

Yes, I agree, I love the Burble of the American V8's but it does get tiring after a while on a long drive, and we also have the boy racers here with extra loud exhausts and popping and banging, one of whom goes to work past my house at 5 am. At least when I go out early in my electric car I...

    Cyberster Dashcam Success

Where did you get that picture, I couldn't find a fuse box picture anywhere, Your picture is different to the one I just saw on a video someone just posted on the MG4 forum, where the empty one which I have used is labelled as F46

    Problem hard wiring dashcam

That's really useful, wish I had seen it before I did mine. Unfortunately my wiring kit didn't have a 3 pronged connector but the 2 prong one works ok but couldn't be used in an occupied slot. I have used F46 which is unused but has switched power, I didn't have access to the Fuse box details as...

    Cyberster Dashcam Success

Thank you for the photos, that is how I wanted to route my cable, but couldn't find the gap at the top of the A Pillar (Door Post) to get across to the gap by the Windscreen, My Cable Pull rods would not go through from the top corner, maybe I was too high up, I will try again a bit lower down.

MG Pilot Speed Limiter defaults to 'off' at every car 'Start'/'Ready' power on

"(I understand Police Officers give valid evidence in cases where they state how fast they estimated a vehicle was going, and are trained to do so) " I think I would argue that in court, if it came to it, as they did a test on TV many years ago where police officers and non police officers were...

    Cyberster Dashcam Success

I don't understand this? "Where you tap your VCC and your ACC+?." Did you pull it away from the windscreen edge or the inside edge in the cabin. I couldn't find a way to get the cable from the A Pillar top inside the trim to the windscreen. If I could do that I could probably push the cable...

    Fake Sound?

Yes, I remember when we went to Regent Street to see the Gumball Rally coming through a few years ago, and the local radio presenter, a Blonde girl who clearly had no clue about cars, was interviewing the drivers as they entered Regent Street, asking stupid questions and finishing with Give it a...

    Fake Sound?

It came with the Electroinduction sound set when I collected it, but after trying both sounds at all levels I have switched it off and am surprised how clearly I can hear the sounds of the countryside, birds singing etc, when driving with the roof down, even at reasonable speeds.
