My wife ordered her car July 2021 took Bp until September(3 Months) to say they couldn't supply because we are on a looped system and their unit cant be fitted and our Yorkshire DNO wanted £2000 to unloop us so we paid for a Zappi charger that had load balancing ended up costing us £850 of which...
Just a thought you could actually read what I said last Friday when I said I had it charging until tea time I then unplugged it taking advantage of solar and plugged it back in the following morning taking advantage of solar and it woke up and started charging on the granny charger and maybe try...
This isn't what my MyEnergi dashboard is showing and certainly not what was happening with the granny charger because it couldn't leak when I unplugged it from the wall and started charging when I powered it up the next day, maybe the newer cars have overcome the problem of waking up, solar...
Hi Les altering the time to 240 seconds has made an improvement, it still drops in and out but nowhere near what it was, the only downside is it takes a little longer to come back on when the sun shines
No it wasn't woken through the night, ours is a Zappi charge point, but even before we had it fitted I would plug in the granny charger at teatime and turn it on next morning to take advantage of solar and it would wake and charge
My wife has a folding electric wheelchair and folding hoist to lift it in but it is very very tight, I have seen pictures of a folding mobility scooter in the back but it goes in with a hoist onto the back seats that have to be folded down so your car becomes a two seater, I think ramps would be...
Hi Jody what do you mean about a 12 hour window? if i plug in at teatime on the eco++ setting and i don't get any solar charging until 9a.m next morning that's 16 hours and it wakes and charges
Hi, after asking the same question on Myenergi forum people have advised me to alter the time in settings to 240 seconds so it doesn't switch on and of as often and alter the slider under eco++ down to 30% - 50% effectively allowing power use from the grid to balance out the charge a bit like...
Hi forum members, We recently had the Zappi charge point fitted and have had it set usually on ECO++ but I'm aware that it is constantly stop start with solar charging sun behind clouds etc, is this going to create any problems for the battery or the car or is this more a summer setting and...
Hi Justin yes we are the end of loop, this all started when BP pulse were going to fit a charge point, they told us that we needed a bigger fuse, Northern power grid came out and confirmed we are looped and 60 Amp fuse( one set of drawings said looped 60A and another said not looped ) said BP...
We only had it fitted last week seems fine once we swapped the CT clamps around as installer put the grid one at wrong side of Henley block, there's not been a lot of sun since but it does automatically switch on when there is, we only do low mileage so hoping for free charging from our panels...
We ended up getting the Zappi it's limited to 55Amp in the unit, 2 CT clamps one for grid & one for solar the only time it limits is when one of us uses the shower (9kw) £860 fitted after grant including small consumer unit as ours was full
We have had our last 2 vehicles from them a Hyundai i800 and now the MG zs not had any reason for concern always been O.K for us, although we haven't had any issues to test their competence
