Having tried to keep an eye on the moving arrows of energy flow I may be wrong but would it not be better to change the HEV/EV display to PEV where EV is as normal, P is powered by petrol ,PEV powered by EV but with P(engine running). That's my take on what's powering the car and will now revert...

I don't think the roof is the real problem it's the roof lining. We actual got some sun and I had the visor down, next trip out in the usual rain putting the visor up it slipped out of my wet fingers and the resulting noise when it hit the lining made me think VAN. I used tin can vans late 60s...

DASB was a finger fault should be DAB

One thing to also consider is a dashcam installed as this can effect the DASB radio in any car Dave

Thanks Clive, it's not easy to keep a eye on it while driving as I don't get much running on EV. what mileage is required a week to get good EV return? trying eco + high regeneration (and it's a pain having to reset every trip)

Total Newbe to a MG3 hybrid is there anywhere the HV battery status is available in % apart from the info screen which shows a bar graph?

The noise level I get is the same HEV and EV. Went down to the Caravan to do some maintenance and got a DB reading of 83DB+at 65MPH (104.6 KMP). Have moved the sensor mic. to a lower position (was 103mm from the roof lining) It's now around knee height. Dave

Thanks Pat Still getting used to the car and what it does and doesn't, but so far it it running more on HEV and short runs on EV and was going to post a question on what EV power range is normal?, I only do short runs with every now and again 28 miles down the Motorway to our caravan.

It's a drumming noise which I think is generated from the road noise and resonates in the cabins plastic trim. I have started putting sound insulation in the boot spare wheel well (now battery) as it was just bare metal, will now be waiting for better weather before continuing, will be moving...
