MG4 some basic (I hope!) questions....

This was the main aspect that stopped me buying it this time round despite me loving the drive of the car. I like to work things out for myself and research the cheapest options and there were too many unkowns on the energy supplier and charger compatibility front at this stage.

MG4 some basic (I hope!) questions....

That is correct but why does that bother you? It would be the same or worse had you bought it outright. If you wanted to own it after two years you would have paid the full approx 30 grand in two years! That would most likely have been more expensive with HP or a bank loan with high interest...

    MG4 Depreciation

I would always buy a car via PCP these days. It's almost always cheaper than buying cash or on HP with the incentives. It's like try before you buy. You can tell if they got the baloon payment right or not quite early on. At the end of my wife's yaris Hybrid term 2014-2018 they got it horribly...

Anyone can purchase on the Affinity Scheme

I did my negotiations at the weekend. I could have got £3000 off a Trophy with Affinity on the normal PCP scheme, not the 0%. Made the total cost about the same if you could afford the initial deposit. In the event I have decided not to get the MG4 right now. I had a test drive and I can...

Anyone can purchase on the Affinity Scheme

What are the limitations to the Affinity scheme? Can it be used on the 0% PCP plan and/or the higher rate scheme? Presumably no other discounts are allowable in conjunction with it. Is what you save fixed or does it vary dealer to dealer. How much is it likely to be on an MG4 Trophy?

New MY23 Changes (wheels/roof/one pedal driving/rear centre headrest & new rear wiper!)

I cn only imagine what shock will go through the car when that inch of ruber hits the edge of 3 inch deep pot hole!

Anyone can purchase on the Affinity Scheme

Would you not already have to own an MG though to be able to register for those "owners clubs" ? Otherwise seems a bit too good to be true.

New MY23 Changes (wheels/roof/one pedal driving/rear centre headrest & new rear wiper!)

Manufacurers at the moment seem to have the knack of removing all the features I like and charging me more for the privelidge! Still, helps me make my mind up

    Replacing factory/stock MG4 tyres

I can see why you might invest in better tyres if you have bought the car outright and intend to keep it for a long period but for those of us regularly changing every two or three years spending an immediate extra £400 seems a bit over the top. i would prefer a car that was fitted with...

    MG4 New Wheels/Tyres

    Thanks for the update .

    MG4 New Wheels/Tyres

Popped into my MG dealer to have a second look at the MG4 and arrange a test drive. The Trophy I looked at had 17" wheels. A new one had just arrived outside the showroom with the new 18" wheels. Looked very low profile tyres compared to the ones in the showroom. Concerned about what that will...

Model update: User feedback makes MG4 Electric even better (MG Press 24-05-2023)

The main comfort/safety/convenience features for me are 17" wheels, blind spot monitoring and folding door mirrors. At one point I thought I'd found a car that had all three but it appears MG have followed the lunatic route of 18" wheels. Of course these cars are never designed and tested on...

Model update: User feedback makes MG4 Electric even better (MG Press 24-05-2023)

Won't the bigger wheels make for a more jarring and ride on the ridiculously deep potholes we now have in third world UK as well as more road noise? They usually do. Is this update the same as this due in September?:-...
