MG4 New Wheels/Tyres

Popped into my MG dealer to have a second look at the MG4 and arrange a test drive. The Trophy I looked at had 17" wheels. A new one had just arrived outside the showroom with the new 18" wheels. Looked very low profile tyres compared to the ones in the showroom. Concerned about what that will do to the ride and road noise. Asked if the lower models will stick to the 17" and he didn't know as they hadn't had any in. Looked on the MG website and that still showed 17" throughout. Wished they would make this things an option in the UK. Asked about the software glitches and he said they had all been fixed a while back !

The 18" wheels are only on the updated Trophy. The SE SR and SE LR still get the 17" wheels.

The lower profile wheels will give a harsher ride unless they've softened the suspension which is unlikely.

There are still a few software glitches unless the R40 software has corrected them but until it gets into the hands of the buyers who knows
