There is a faulty logic, that says, "if it worked perfectly once, it will continue to do so" Be warned everybody, this sort of logic could burn your house down!!!!! However there must be a flaw in British plug design, if the fuse is getting hot enough to melt and burn plastic, surely it should...

so the charger shows what's leaving the grid, the car shows what's going into the battery. The car has to convert the AC to DC to charge the battery, run whatever is live in the car, I think it's also charging the 12v battery. So I guess the answer is into the car and a bit of heat, produced...
