Not sure if you know the character, he lost a leg and walks with a bad limp! Summed up her car for a while (had a disability)

Back in the Illawarra, before we moved to WA, the neighbour sold his house and rebuilt a motorhome and called it Flicity, Flick the city he later explained, but he named all his vehicles, might have been his ancestorial Scottish blood or something ...... The bright red hair and the ability to get sunburnt while inside the house was possibly also inherited

It's not something I've ever done although my mate does especially his motorbikes. He has names for his BSA C15, Triumph 900 Sprint, KTM and Vincent Rapide as well as his HY van but not for his daily driver, a Jaguar XJ

That said, if I were pushed to, I'd call by Stratford Gold MGS6 Carte d'Or ... I'll get my hat and coat while that sinks in.

Some inanimate objects can still have defining features. Humans are strange, we can still get attached to them. It also helps to separate other wise identical things.

I sort of get the desire to anthropomorphise things. But the closest I have got is calling the LR Discovery 3 'The Disco'. The Fiat is the 'The Fiat' and the MG is the ...

Nah. The MGS6 has very little 'personality' imo. I don't have any particular feeling towards the car. It was purely a practical and economical decision to buy it. It a useful necessity for me. Nothing more.
I used to have words for the letters in the numberplate, just to remember it (usually foul words ). This one starts with ER. Just hoping that's not where it'll make me end up.
