The last software update I had for the ZS has cured the need for a reboot which was my main issue. I'd agree that the whole "software" package for MG cars at the moment is pretty awful and will sink them unless they sort it.

Well you beat me then; I had a courtesy car for 4 months. I saw it as 4 months less wear and tear on mine so wasn't overly concerned. The courtesy car was an MG 5 so was a decent replacement IMO. If I'd been given a fossil fuelled car then would've been a different story.
I had that problem and sympathise, as it drove me up the wall. At the car's first service last month, I mentioned it. and they applied an update; since then the problem hasn't arisen and I'm very happy.
If you have a cheap rate during the night then can't you just schedule the charge for that time period? I don't have Ohme but am on Octopus and just set my charger to be on for the cheap rate time period.
I'm not on IOG and without the feedback from the car then it's not going to work properly...
