    I hate my MG4

Got to ask, you say spending £30000 on an MG 4, which no one in their right mind is paying for an se. Indeed a 77 kw extended range new can be bought for £26000. If you are getting 140 miles at 70 mph in the winter that is what you signed up for on a standard range. If you wanted more milage...

    MGS6 Information & Reviews

I tend not to take anything top gear reviews say as serious unbiased journalism - they have a very poor track record. No such problems with auto express or car wow though !

    MGS6 Information & Reviews

Agreed ms5/6 are no lookers. I hope the uk mg 4 doesnt follow the blob blandness and retains its sharper looks

    New MG2 ? ? ?

Yes, i think that is down to personal taste as apart from the turbo the R5 was no looker. Having owned both a R5 and an MG metro in the 1980s I can tell you the metro had more usuable space and drove so much better

    MG4 End of Production

Yes some fresh colours would help a lot. Peugeot & fiat have brought our some really good colours in the last year as as we all know there are people out there that will buy a car purely based on colour even if the car is only average mechanically. - plus the profit margin on a metallic, pearl...

    MG4 End of Production

I hope the UK model looks better than the photos from china because I couldnt buy a car that looks so bland. In addition it looks like they are going to cheapen the suspension and other build areas so the fact that the current MG 4 handles so well will be lost. The best option would have been...

...Just ordered an MG4 Trophy ER (my first EV) any advice most welcome...

In addition if you have an immersion heater you can set it to heat between 4:30 & 5:30 am using cheap electricity on the likes of octopus go so that you start the day with a cheap cylinder of hot water

why not use a plug timer or the washing machines timer if it has one. A plug timer usually requires you to start the session and then switch over to the timer that will deal with the rest of the 99% cycle

    New MG4??

Got to say I prefer the existing shape, which looks like it was designed by someone with design talent rather than the "new"one shown in the photograph. The "new" one is yet another generic blob with rear looking like every other car available. MG need to up their design skills and introduce...

All-new MG4 enters mass production in China, official debut set for August

You miss the point it engages seamlessly. As I understand it all electric cars are already geared with the motor going through a drop gear in the diff. The overdrive in many cars were electric and and seamless. There is no gear change to operate, it just means the motor is going slower at 70...

All-new MG4 enters mass production in China, official debut set for August

I will await the existing refreshed MG 4 for the UK as the shape is sharp and individualistic. I hope while the tech & interior gets an up lift, without the price being uplifted. I really couldnt buy a "blob" shaped car as they all look the same if you take the badge off We keep hearing that...

    UK Public rapid charging costs

I have heard that the DC charging companies have to pay a large bill to be connected to the grid in the first place followed by an equally large bill EACH YEAR so the grid will guarantee that a continious power supply is available. Not sure of all the facts, but it seems the grid are...

    MG 5 Charging

I charge mine to 80% most of the time. You can set it to charge to 80% using the charge setting on the screen. For longer journeys I always charge it to 100% over night. One thing to remember is to try not to charge it to 100% and then leave it unused for days on end as the battery doesnt...

Should I be worried about the number of used MG4s around at the moment?

Hi, regarding dealerships, I would try ERIC STEADS of Sheffield. They are a 3 generation family run firm and a former Rover dealer. Their after sales is very good, but obviously not perfect. I believe, but cant be sure, they some times take on after sales work for MG motors so draw your own...
