What route did you take for the cabling from the front to the back of your S5 for the rear camera ?

It's on the driver's side on the underside of the dash, just to the right of the centre console. Stick your hand under there and you can feel where it's located. I used a mirror and a torch to find it when I was considering using the OBD2 port for a tracker.

Is that for the MG5 or the MGS5 which is this forum ?

No, but I have not looked too hard, as I'm still totally baffled with the information overload in the owners manual !!! 🤣

I bought an 8-metre V2L cable from Aliexpress and replaced the Euroland 4 gang socket it came with, with a13a 2-gang weatherproof RCD socket from Screwfix.

My wife has had idiots run into the back of her car on two occasions, so I wanted to get a rear camera in as soon as possible. At present, I do not have time to route a power cable to the front of the car to pick up a power source, so for the time being I have temporarily rigged up an 8Ah...

When I was look to fit a front facing dashcam, I noted that the pod on the front windscreen the that the rearview mirror is mounted, was offset quite a bit to the passenger side, so mounting a dashcam on the windscreen next to the pod on the passenger side, plus the curvature of the windscreen...

There is a USB port in the passenger side rearview mirror mount that I’m using to power my dashcam.
