Bonnet seal.

After driving the MGS5 home from the dealer's in heavy rain. The next day, I opened the bonnet and found the area covered in water and mud. On further inspection, there was no rubber seal between the body and the bonnet. I purchased a rubber seal from Amazon and put it in place; job done.

I've had my MGS5 for a couple of months now and it's still dry and clean under the bonnet

Back in the bad old days I owned a Dacia Duster and that was one of the first mods everyone used to do to it. Followed by fitting decent wiper blades and vibration damping for the bonnet and boot floor.

There is a far bit of road muck getting under our bonnet, so would be grateful if you would post a photo of where you applied the rubber seal, please.

Do you find it affective with being just across the front, and not going over the light unit ?

The seal if I remember correctly was 10 ft long. Enough to go from one bulkhead to the other. No cuts to the seal works a treat.

Looks good. I'll have to do the same to mine although I might investigate if the seal could be stuck to the bonnet.
