Hi All,
Normally don’t many miles but I’ve come away for the week and plugged into a podpoint 22kw charger and it’s saying 4.5 hours to charge from 30%. The car says it’s slow charging - this being the first time can I check anything on the car? Or just try another charger?
Going on a long journey tomorrow, thought I'd top up from 84% to 100% but the car is rejecting the charge. Not sure what to check, I've reboot the charger, started and stopped the car, unplugged / plugged the charger. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
I've download the app and connected via an OBD, scanned and found faults (I assume nothing serious) - but there doesn't seem to be an option to clear them?
My primary concern is clearing any faults when using a charger and things going wrong.
Any pointers?
Slight correction - official AA report -
"Patrol found the following fault code/s:System : ABS - HMA / Driving safety system ESP ESP 920 Status :C005128 - Steering angle sensor module. Error Message : Offset error. Error present.Drive car up the road which extinguished lights and the fault code"
I've got a few long trips planned over the coming weeks and reading through the threads, does the statement ring true for a Mk2?
It seems rapid chargers have a chance(? or certainty?) to "brick" the car if a particular software has not been updated, to check for the software update when...
Drove it up and down the road a couple of times and the faults have cleared. Including the Steering Control Module.
The MG tech guys from the AA said roll it backwards and forwards to see if that clears the fault, obviously needed a little more than that or a combination of a longer switched...
On the way home from the shop the car start reporting lots of faults :(
Traction control, autohold, hill descent, hill hold, forward collision etc. all showing as fault and unavailable.
Giving the AA a call now, does the MG / AA recovery include loan cars or is it down to the dealer?
