Single phase copes with it okay using the 12:30-5:50 charging window on Octopus Go. For example last night was 2 hours at 12kWh (12:30-2:30). It rarely needs a full recharge as the capacity was judged on worst case. Usually can charge the Powerwalls plus 2 hours for the car during the night.
Indeed, but I was being disingenuous about the solar export and NCB. How will HMRC be able to tell the difference between a solar export and an export from the batteries (which may have originated from an overnight charge from the grid)?
I calculated my maximum daily power need (31kWh mid-February below zero degrees all day) to run the heat source air pump and everything else. So I needed 3 Powerwalls which is the maximum for my site. Expensive, yes, but is gives you a nice warm feeling when the power goes off for 3 days due to...
Looking at similar images on Dr Google it appears that the photo has been doctored (compare the definition of the front grille with the tread lines you would expect on the tyres). No doubt the article is true (must be on the BBC:unsure:) but the image may have been "edited".
Ask them how long it lasts. I have seen reports that it needs to be repeated annually. I looked into ceramics for my current car and come to the conclusion that using products with ceramic in them (e.g., Autoglym shampoo and polish) was just as effective and saved a shedload of money.
Experienced the same problem in my MG4 (as did other MG4 owners - there are posts referencing the problem). Press the go pedal and the car rocks against the brake and displays the seatbelt sign. Releasing and reapplying the seatbelt was the quickest solution I found to the problem.
Can be caused by external temperature drop. I used to get the same issue as winter arrived - I suspect the warning is triggered at a decimal point value of pressure you don't see in the display.
Not sure if this has been shared here before, but it's an interesting YouTube take on what this is all about: Pay Per Mile Tax Is About Control – The EV Bait & Switch
Indeed. The new buyers also pay a significant amount of VAT which helps the treasury - so is it a good idea to put luxury car tax in the UK at £40k car sale value when the average new EV costs £43k. Foot, aim, shoot. Will the forthcoming budget fix it?
There are probably many cars coming off their 2 year PCP contracts at the moment so might be worth looking at auctions or the bulk dealers (e.g., Arnold Clark) as there should be plenty of choice and a good few low mileage examples (mine went back with less than 6k on the clock). I'm pretty sure...
