I’m a taxi driver and I’ve been charging up to 100% 6 days a week minus some days off once in a while for a year now and my battery life was at 100% on my 30k service so don’t worry about it!
In the 30k service make sure you ask if you can watch them they are gonna try and get out of it but try. They will /should take 1.5 to 2 hours on that one.
For 1st service 15k
State of battery check
All wheels off
Good look around
Wheels back on to torque
Thread wear on tyres checked
Air pressure to factory pressure
That’s about it (If you are lucky)
What possibly happened:
You’re car drove into the workshop sat there in the bay for 55mins...
Put tape over the brake fluid cap and after the “ so called service “ pull out the glove box and check the cabin filter is brand new if not they haven’t done a thing. Also I also have my dash cam hard wired in so they tell you to turn it off ( I wonder why) however mine can’t be turned off so...
Have I got an update for you guys I just picked up the car was charged the £244 and after what wee Dave wrote i went straight out in the MG car park and took the glove box off as no tools needed and low and behold cabin filter black with dirt. I took it straight back in to the service department...
Holy shit unbelievable making marks or taping stuff is exactly what I would do to mate well done for not getting conned
If they are and reading this ?? YOU
I do 55 mph on the motorway going to the area I taxi in and I get flashed, head nods and given the finger. But I just put on the tunes silp my coffee and laugh at them because I know I’ll arrive with loads of charge left that will make me lots of money ?
After thinking about this comment I think you are absolutely right I could just keep working without the rapid top up and just do my full charge at night. Thanks for the advice
