Yup. The other pissobolity is that it ran slightly warm, got covered in dew overnight, reached charge end, shut down and cooled off. The air inside contracts a bit, sucking a bit of humidity in. Rinse and repeat and you end up with a soggy granny.

Watch out if you use any kind of granny charger outside. They ain't necessarily waterproof!
I've just completed a V2L adaptor for my MGS6, using bits cannibalised from a non-working, Cord branded granny charger from eBay. (470ohm PE to PP, PE to CP open circuit, fyi.)
