Storage & Transmission: Data is initially stored in the car's control units and then transferred to MG servers (historically located in Paris, France, for European/UK users) to provide the app services.
So I wonder what happens if those servers are unavailable?
Once the control unit's buffers...
My S6 infotainment has been fine since I bought it at the end of January and it is.now virtually unusable
Android Auto crashes/resets every 5 or so minutes.
The infotainment system itself is running like an 80's PC that's run out of RAM and is experiencing 100% CPU utilisation...
Every button...
Hi all,
Anyone had any issues with their infotainment systems today?
Mine was like it was possessed..laggy, failing to load, cameras not working and Android Auto not connecting no matter what.
I notice loads of similar reports in a S5 Facebook group and was wondering if anyone else here had...
Hi all,
I'm not with my car at the moment.
I think I know the answer to this, but am just checking here
Unlike my previous S5, I don't believe my S6 has a multi-height boot floor.
I seem to recall that when I looked, it was one height only
Is that correct?
I also couldn't get my S6 Trophy Long Range single motor insured with my existing insurer Allianz, as it wasn't in their systems at all.
I also used the comparison sites and went went with the AA
Just adding to this thread...
The S6 does indeed have a subwoofer, under the padding in the boot
Said subwoofer is rubbish
Curiously, I do seem to see surrounding vehicles on the cluster display
There's no remote unlock for the Frunk..it's the old fashioned bonnet lever in the cabin.
Marketing...
I got the plug-in rearview cam, like you have fitted.
I just couldn't be arsed to run a cable the length of the car through the roof lining or along the trim...
BTW...it was 0.1v per hour!
Install took about an hour..thanks to your instructions 👍🏻
I'm getting the 12v battery voltage from the MG iSmart app, which shows the 12V battery voltage.
So, I've replicated this install and am now a bit worried...
I've turned on the Parking mode, but I'm still seeing a 0.1V drop on the 12V battery per hour.
That's just not sustainable...
@Giller did you activate any other settings, like auto power-off?
Given the "sensitivity" of the 12v batteries in the S5 and I'm therefore assuming the S6, do you think there's any possibility of such a dashcam draining the 12v battery?
Also, what dashcam is that please?
Also how effective is that plug-in cam in seeing what's going on behind you?
