The recall is also here in Australia - it is for certain HS supplied between Feb 2021 and March 2023. It is due to the possibility of carpet underlay being inadvertently placed between a nut and the ground stud during the tightening of the ground cable for the PTC ( Positive Temperature...
The recall is due to the possibility oF carpet being caught between the nut and ground stud for the PTC ( Positive Temperature Coefficient)heating module for the HVAC. Vibration can cause loosening of the ground wire eyelet terminal., causing overheating and possible fire. It is for models...
Is it possible to re-label radio stations away from their frequency? For example, can you edit the naming of the station from 92.7 to Fresh fm? We travel frequently to Victoria and keep forgetting which stations are which. I can't see anything in the owners manual how to do this, so I come to...
An update on fuel use after two trips to Melbourne (740kms), where we used the hybrid control. It seems the fuel use in hybrid mode on the open road at 100 km/hr averages between 6 and 7 Ltrs/100 kms, depending on terrain, wind direction etc. I feel that for the size of the car, and comfort...
A lot of questions, but here goes:
1. Not sure of the latest software , but the dealer updated all software when delivered, and I hope that the software is updated every service. I asked about the "dab radio chip" coming out in the UK, but my dealer had not heard of any chip.
2. No unresolved...
The short runs I was thinking of is the 2-3 kms of petrol while the heating, charge mode, or demister are in play. These wouldn't heat the exhaust as thoroughly as a 24 kms run.
A question for you folk in U.K., and Europe - as you have had plug-in hybrids longer than us Antipoedians, have you seen any problems with rusting exhaust systems due to the short runs of the petrol engine before going into ev mode? We were always told that not heating the system up through...
I asked my dealer in Adelaide SA, and he and their service department had no idea about a dab chip being installed after a recall, as reported in this community news. I suspect they had no idea what a dab chip is, so not much hope there! Maybe they should read this discussion group to hear what...
What speed do you run the electric motor after you "force" it into ev mode? Does anyone know the speed at which the electric motor will run without damage? I know the electric motor has a 4 speed gearbox, but what is the "safe" speed for the electric motor?
Just finished a trip from Adelaide to Melbourne, a distance of 740 kms ( 460 miles), running mainly in hybrid mode. This is the recommendation of this community, and it was good to see the electric motor helping the ICE. The fuel consumption ranged from 6-7 Ltrs./100 kms (33 -39 mpg ).
This was...
Will be interested in your consumption figures on your longer trip - it seems from this community that for a long trip, the most economical way is to leave the car in hybrid mode on the open road, and let the electric motor take pressure off the ICE. We are traveling to Melbourne next week, so I...
Sometimes, the car comes out of EV mode with the display "Charge mode". It can then be switched back into EV after a short time. Does this mean the 12v battery needs the ICE to run to keep up it's charge? Is the display just the battery management system taking control?
A quick question - what does the % Power indicator on the RHS of the main panel show? Is it the % ICE input, the % electric motor, or a combination of both? I know the -% is when the regeneration is occurring, but what does the positive figure show?
I found the petrol consumption to Melbourne and back was 6.5 - 7 litres per 100kms. It was my first interstate trip, and I used the 63 kms of battery then went to ICE. I see on this community that people say to use the normal hybrid on the open road, and EV in cities. I will try that next time...
Thanks for your reply. I thought the public chargers would give a fast recharge, but maybe the limit is the battery input level at 3 kw. Have recently done a trip to Melbourne ( 740 kms), and the only motel we found with an outside plug was in Horsham. All others have well-sealed windows and...
