I read in an mgevs forum thread a quote from a dealer saying it would invalidate warranty as it would be treated as an 'upgrade' - clearly both this and when the PF LR started accepting s/w updates needs nailing somehow
see below a 2022 PF charging just fine, presumably with no update....
Uncle Elon is charging just 23p / kw locally (guess he figured that he is doing ok now!) hence my desperation to find which MG5 to buy
At this charge rate, I dont even need to charge at home :)
Thks guys, yes tempted by some at £7.5k, however would want Tesla SC compatability
Can we nail down precisely which spec and yrs allow Tes SCs?
Eg are non LR 2022 version ok / just need sw or is everyone agreeing it has to be the LR? - Do we know why / what was the £1k hw mentioned above that...
Since I am looking for a cheap car and cheap running costs, I need to choose from the MG5s that will work fine with Tesla SCs / just need a s/w update (would probably drive down to Cheevley / wait until he is in the midlands)
Read somewhere that it needs to b 2022 onward...
considering MG5 @ sub £10k - SR, LR or Facelift for best bang / $
Had a Zoe R135Gt on lease for yrs and loved it, drawnt to MG5 as seems better value and longer warranty
