Unless the tyres are directional in which case they need to be kept on the same side and the TPMS will need updating so the car knows which tyre is on which corner. The MG4 doesn't have self learning.

Don't get too excited. The MG4 said that and never had an OTA update in 2 1/2 years. It just means the car can't find an update so it presumes it must be up-to-date.

My local dealer had a 2023 MG4 Trophy in red, under 6000 miles, dealer serviced, 1 owner from new for £16500. I say had as it's now been sold, but it shows there are some bargains out there. PS. It was mine until I traded up to the MGS5 EV

Some MG4 owners had problems with the charging not starting especially with fast chargers. The fix was to take the weight off the plug to make sure the top connectors were making proper contact.

I haven't heard of any. It took nearly a year for the first updates for the MG4 but hopefully MG have learned from that and will release updates sooner. Just out of interest what software issues have you had?

Agreed. You know from past experience how bad the roads get around you and how frequently. If you need something better than standard tyres I'd go for the Michelin Cross Climates and a decent set of snow chains or socks for that odd occasion it gets a bit dicey.

The MG4 wasn't much better. It's also nice being able to remotely demist the screen via the app instead of having to heat the cabin up to do it. It is. That's why some cars have shark fins on their roof.

Since they've done away with having to have a radiator grill but having to meet pedestrian collision safety standards the designers seem unable to give any EV a good looking front end.

When key-less unlocking first came out only one code was used so it was possible to scan it and use it to unlock the car. Now the key and car now cycle through a series of codes so it changes each time it's used which is why the thieves now use scanner/transmitters to boost the signal from the key.

My tailgate did the same yesterday but it could have been because I hadn't unlocked the car first. I'll have to see if it does it again this morning. I did put my hand out to stop it closing and yes, you'll be pleased to know, it did stop with very little pressure.

Mine did the same thing. Also when closing it slammed shut and not soft closing as it should. I fixed it the same way by forcing it fully open and then helping it close.

I very much doubt it. It's like getting features that are on a Windows 11 computer to run in XP and visa versa. They are both the same base but the software has evolved.
