That’s exactly why it’s not a drive shaft issue ..
Im by far a car designer or master mechanic engineer..
For them to replace sub frame bushes etc etc it has to do with transferring vibration..
Vibrations can travel from the strangest places to the strangest place ..
As for other vibrations...
Drive shaft out of balance cannot be the problem ( in my case no drive shafts were replaced to fix said vibration problem )
the reasoning for a out of balance drive shaft is anything that spins ( for this example lets take a buckled rim ) the faster and faster the wheel spins the more unstable...
Thats the catch 22 of some of these cheap Chinese car makers ..
same reason why manufacturing in aus died..
Its all about money the average car in aus starts at 35k and to 80k for a ford ranger which alot of people buy .
so you offer a cheaper built car even if its poorly made or has lemons...
mine was the same minor but ive fought for the fix out of principle..
Yes i got the fix and it has been fine in that sense.
Even now the dealer has had my car for over a month waiting to fix the locked diff engine problem..
sadly ive seen some of their terrible back and forth between dealer...
I think my pre requisite for my next EV would be 250kW AWD and around 700km - 800km range at a sensible price ..
My reasoning is I want a bit of grunt; AWD is always better in wet conditions; on 800V platform; warrantied; V2G /V2H and 800km range, and I’m sold ..
You dont get a say salty yours is orange !! :) :)
Actually i just bought the I phone 17 pro in the cosmic orange and ive been thinking HMMM cosmic orange wrapped MG4 X power :)
so i should probably shut my mouth on orange things !!
my great shame salty for all my picking on your orange X...
To be honest 320kw and 600nm of torque is pointless..
Dont get me wrong i love a fast car but where can you actually use it look at alot of these upcoming EV's 600-800hp and so on!
Im5 and im6 742hp you can never really use it not in AUS anyway..
Speed limit in aus range from 40km zones to...
weird mine seems fine
lost patience now !!
letters have been sent..
see what happens till i know the outcome hard to make a decision ..
Not a MG though !!
Honestly its a real shame i love the Xpower i was looking forward to doing the coil overs as id basically decided to sell the lowered...
agreed on the part numbers ..
I would say and im no expert but there will always be some sort of vibration
Put simply the MG4 Xpower is not a bmw or mercedes
So kerb the expectations.
It could also be a buckled rim one of my rims is slightly buckled ( but doesnt seem to be a issue )
Road...
On a maybe related maybe unrelated note ..
One of my motors has died in my car now and needs to be replaced ..
which is what the service department is telling me ..
Been with out my car for over 2 weeks now..
Think this is the turning point now i like my car but now its to much for a new car...
be interested what fix they actually had and what the problem was because mine was sub frame replaced, new bushes , motors out etc etc ..
There are claimed fixes for it such as steering dampener etc etc they do not work..
I can assure you the fix i had fixed the vibration in my car ..
still dont know what the problem is they have reached out to MG Australia to get some idea :(
So i still havent got my car been over a week now ..
On the plus side i cant get busted for speeding as ive been driving a loaner, basically hairdryer on 4 wheels the 2023 MG3 core ..
To be honest i...
Its a trade off in my opinion the car needs sticky tread far better than the crappy stock EV tyres ..
On the flip side less rolling resistance from a dedicated EV trye will give you more range ..
Im not sure how much range ive actually lost but what i have gained with the pilot sport 5s is...
8” rim is fine for 245s it may put the speedo out slightly with the lower profile with rolling diameters..
Problem that could arise is the tyre rubbing on the front strut tower as it very close ..
If the car gets lowered with camber on the front it will definitely rub but otherwise 245 should...
