I just tried to get some volcano orange touch up paint for a couple of stone chips on my MG4 and was also told that MG don't sell that...
Paintnuts to the rescue. A bit pricy at £36 for a set of touch up pens delivered a week later, but no other option from MG.
This is EXACTLY the same problem I had with my Trophy, delivered last November. Luckily the dealer spotted this during the PDI after they tried to install one of the MG recommended software updates, which crashed and bricked the camera, and put me in a courtesy car while my car was being...
@NigelMK: mine is a trophy too.
@Eber: So, when you say "R33" fixes it, are you referring to the Entertainment System version, hidden within the system menu? Mine is currently on "SW168-29958-1300R29". What triggered your dealer to upgrade that your old software release to the "R33" version...
Thanks Simon. I have no idea what software version I am on. My car is back in the dealers yet again while they try and get both the camera and radar modules working simultaneously. They can get one or the other to work, but not both at once. After installing and reinstalling a bunch of patches...
Hi,
Does anybody else have the issue with the energy consumption graph not populating with data as you drive? This is how the display on my MG4 Trophy always looks:
Has anyone who has experienced this problem managed to get a fix it for it, and if so, how?
Thanks,
Paul
Diving off on a different tangent, has anybody tried removing the plastic "aero" wheel covers to see if this causes a significant reduction in range or not, and whether there are any aesthetic benefits of having the naked alloy wheels?
My MG4 Trophy was supposed to be delivered to the dealership last week, but has not turned up there yet. Hopefully this is because MG UK are implementing "the fix" to all remaining cars in their hands from the first batch, before releasing them to the dealers. Shame my "old" car (a 5 month old...
Apologies for offending the volcano orange community. I ordered one shortly after the launch announcement and was just a bit surprised it was a"flat" colour when I saw it in the metal for the first time, given that it's the most expensive paint option. Peace and love from a soon to be flat...
Fair enough. Having seen orange ZS cars, which were as I recall metallic orange, I kind of assumed that the volcano orange would be the same, hence the increased costs. As Crawfyp correctly observed, if you like it you'll pay for it.
I finally managed to see a volcano orange MG4 Trophy at my local dealership, and was surprised to see that it is a flat paint colour, not metallic or pearlised. The white and blue colours are also non-metallic so why is there a price hike of £695 pounds for the non metallic orange over the cost...
