My new MGS5 Trophy passenger door mirror doesn’t fold as far as the driver’s. Is this normal?

Yes displays green when taking action to correct or warn you. The amber icon informs you it is off; therefore, when the amber icon is not visible ,it must be active and works as you described ; that is how mine works.

Is this the icon you are talking about(ELK). The amber comes on when ELK off but nothing when on; is how mine works

Mine are electric motor noise only. However on my MG5 it started clicking and I did the same as MG Clive, sprayed with silicone.

I agree with Alb, that’s a fault. My MGS5 Trophy does not behave like that. If the car is locked the boot opens ( when you have the key) with the foot sensor or the handle and then shuts and locks as it should do.

That’s all you can do if that’s not good enough speak to your MG. I believe they need a software solution for this problem

Even with the display brightness turned right down in the display settings?

CarPlay should automatically dim when the car lights are on. Does it do that? Plus have you set your display brightness right down with your lights on-it will remember the brightness setting.

Couldn’t agree more with all the display screen comments. The MG 4 and 5 before that all had a software link to darken the screens at night. Come on MG UK sort it out.
