Most of your points are valid; the display problems, wrt lighting levels, not remembering the drive mode, lane keep assist. The other problems you have mentioned I either haven’t come across or feel my experience is different. Hopefully MG will listen to the main quirks and write a software fix.
An interesting question. I’ve never thought that it might do the same but with the drivers doing the work. Would like to know if Régent levels are the same in these instances.
You can do it 2 ways
1. Enter the Carson menu and select’Cutom’ or assign a star button to ‘Drive Mode’ where you have to toggle between all the modes to select ‘Custom’
In ‘Driving Control’ I have set up Drive mode ‘Custom’ and clicked Power ‘Eco’ and Steering ‘Normal’; that is all you can set in Drive Mode ‘Custom’
In ‘Convenience’ you will find the 2 star buttons which you can assign various tasks; I have set to Drive Mode and Regen. When you use the buttons...
The answer is yes. There are the 2 star buttons which can be set; I have one in drive mode and one in regen mode. Hopefully on a software update they might revert to your setting choice remaining in the boot up memory … we live in hope
The phone display settings, except for sensing lights on, has no effect. I have set my lights on brightness to minimum and the screen appears to be dimmed enough. I shall try it out this evening.
I’m just asking for the setting, like the MG4, to be an option in the Custom setting I don’t want the default removed. Besides driving conditions such as Snow have a setting that ensures the user cannot set 2 or higher.
Yes displays green when taking action to correct or warn you. The amber icon informs you it is off; therefore, when the amber icon is not visible ,it must be active and works as you described ; that is how mine works.
